D.A.S. Audio RF-118
D.A.S. Audio, a leading manufacturer of loudspeaker systems for sound reinforcement applications, introduces two new subwoofers: the RF-118 and RF-218. These new sub bass enclosures are the latest additions to the company’s Rf (reference) Series product group and are designed for use in both permanent installations and mobile systems.
The RF-118 and RF-218 subwoofers are both passive systems housed in Birch Plywood enclosures with black Iso-Flex painted exteriors. The RF-118 subwoofer incorporates a single 18-inch LF transducer in a rear loaded horn bass configuration. The system has a 4,000-watt peak /1,000W RMS power rating with a nominal impedance of 8 ohms. The RF-118 has a frequency range of 45 to 160 Hz. On-axis sensitivity is rated at 99dB SPL (1W/1m) while maximum peak SPL measures 135 dB (at 1 m). The RF-118 provides two NL4 Speakon connectors. The enclosure’s measurements are 33×23.6×25.8 inches (84x60x65.5 cm) and its weight is 126.5 pounds.
D.A.S. Audio RF-218
The new RF-218 subwoofer incorporates two 18-inch LF transducers in a bass reflex configuration. The system has an 8,000W peak /2,000W RMS power rating with a nominal impedance of 4 ohms. On-axis sensitivity is rated at 101dB SPL (1W/1m) while maximum peak SPL measures 140 dB (at 1 m). The RF-218 provides two NL4 Speakon connectors. The enclosure’s measurements are 42×21.3×26.4 inches (106.7x 54×67 cm) and its weight is 141.9 pounds.
