Electro-Voice, Dynacord Set Path for SXSW Indie Scene

Taking place from March 11-19, 2005, in Austin, this year's South by Southwest featured thousands of participants and showgoers.

Taking place from March 11-19, 2005, in Austin, this year’s South by Southwest featured thousands of participants and showgoers. Nearly 1,300 bands performed in the 60 participating venues over the weeklong conference and 10,000 people registered for the accompanying tradeshow.

At the Austin International Airport, SXSW attendees were greeted by an Electro-Voice–sponsored music stage at baggage claim that featured acts spanning all genres. Headhunters, a Tiki/Polynesian-themed rock club, kept crowds entertained with a total Electro-Voice/Dynacord sound system comprising two Zx5 loudspeakers, a Dynacord PowerMate II 1000 mixer and E-V N/D967 mics.

The Continental Club also relied on E-V products during SXSW: N/D967 vocal mics, RE510 vocal mics, and N/D468s, N/D478s and N/D868s.
