Meyer Sound recently announced that Richard Hulston joined the company as its sales manager for the Middle East. Hulston will work with Meyer Sound’s director of international sales, Mike Cooper, to support the company’s Middle Eastern clients, including consultants, installers and rental companies.
Hulston brings to the job extensive experience designing and installing audio systems in theme parks, venues and hotels throughout the territory, most recently serving as senior project engineer for the audio and broadcast systems installed in Qatar’s Khalifa Stadium.
Hulston’s live sound credits include more than 20 years of touring as a live sound system engineer with acts such as Hot House Flowers, Big Audio Dynamite, Buddy Guy, John Mayall and The Blues Breakers, Hunters & Collectors and The Angels, as well as mixing at numerous festivals and for live theater.
In addition to his field experience, Hulston received formal training in engineering and international business from Australia’s Griffith University and University of Southern Queensland. He has successfully completed numerous professional training classes, including Meyer Sound’s SIM® 3 training seminar.
