The latest firmware update for the TC Electronic’s Clarity X monitoring system, Version 1.3, includes a a speaker calibration wizard that is designed to make setting up sweet spots and adjusting subwoofers more precise, and reduce the time spent calibrating from hours to mere minutes.
The company states that the wizard can handle up to four user-defined focal points in the room.
While calibrating speakers, the engineer is lead through a simple step-by-step procedure, double-checking that all settings are optimal for all connected speakers.
Managing the subwoofer has been optimized as well, as the calibration wizard sports multi-spot sub calibration, which is said to greatly improve the precision of the lower frequencies.
