The Engineering and Recording Society of Chicago (EARS) will meet at Gap Digital on Tuesday, November 30 at 7:30 p.m.
Elections for the group’s board of directors will be held at this meeting. Those interested in serving as president (current president Mary Mazurek will step down after two years of service) should be “an experienced audio engineering practitioner that understands our community and has the ability to reach out to our peers to set up meetings, arrange topics and attract guest speakers,” she says. The meeting’s venue, Gap Digital, is a 3,000 square-foot,
5.1 capable facility based in Wheaton, Ill., which was laid out by the famed Walters-Storyk Design Group. The facility features a Fairlight MFX 3 and Sony DMX R-100 digital consoles and boasts an active commercial Foley room.
