Fairlight announced that the Postoffice, a post-production facility in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, recently installed a DREAM Constellation-XT as the primary technology in its new digital audio post department.
Founded in 1986 and owned by Ad Rietvelt, Postoffice is the leading post-production facility in Amsterdam with notable work in film and video post for commercials, documentaries and motion pictures. Having grown to a staff of 25, Postoffice is a central focus for The Netherlands’ advertising industry.
“To remain at the forefront of the industry and maintain our full service profile, we knew a complete audio post facility was the next step,” said Rietvelt. “And to maintain our reputation, we needed to continue to provide superior work while meeting difficult deadlines. The Fairlight Constellation-XT is the most powerful and versatile digital audio system that allows us to meet those deadlines and maintain our high standards.”
The facility’s Constellation is located within the building that houses the existing music suite. The new console will give Postoffice the capability of providing voice-overs, sound effects, sound design and final mixdown. All computers and workstations are networked through robust servers that allow clients to go from video edit, for example, to the audio room with all files already imported, improving the workflow for Postoffice clients.
