At Musikmesse this week in Frankfurt, Germany, Steinberg announced several new products, including the release of a new version of its world standard ASIO protocol: ASIO 2.1. The latest version of the Audio Stream Input Output now offers support for the DSD format. The SDK for the new version is now available for download from www.steinberg.net.
Also announced was The Grand 2, an update to The Grand virtual concert grand piano product. The Grand 2 features an entirely new
added grand piano, surround capabilities as well as a range of features designed to maximize computer resource efficiency.
The company will also offer an update to its WaveLab audio editing and mastering application that will offer instant integration of the Algorithmix® reNOVAtor˙ mastering and renovation plug-in.
