TerraTec Producer recently debuted AXON AX 100 mk II, which is based on the predecessor AXON AX 100. Mechanical improvements have been made to the model, including the new user-friendly computer interface. This fully featured PC editor now features the AXON Soundboard, more than 500 new sample layer sounds (GM, XG-compatible), 128 voices and a promo DVD a demo show featuring New York–based Burr Johnson.
Housed in a one-rackmount chassis, the guitar-to-MIDI controller sports an early recognition system that analyzes impulses and converts data, determining pitch, dynamics and duration without loss. A powerful 32-bit RISC processor does this in real time, affording guitarists access to MIDI.
Other features include automatic attack position recognition, built-in 128-voice polyphonic soundboard, more than 500 premium-quality sounds, 10 drum kits and an SFX kit, and more.
