Yamaha Introduces GO46 Mobile Audio Interface

Yamaha has unveiled its bus-powered GO46 ($439) FireWire audio/MIDI interface, which offers four inputs and six outputs and records at up to 24-bit/192kHz resolution. The GO46’s front panel includes two mic/line combo inputs with independently selectable phantom power and gain controls, allowing the user to connect a powered source and a non-powered source simultaneously. It also includes two inserts for adding outboard gear such as compressors, EQ, or effects, and a headphone output with independent level control.

The GO46 comes with a cross-platform software suite that includes Cubase LE, Groove Agent SE, HALion SE, Sample Tank SE, Sonic Synth 2 SE, AmpliTube LE and T-RackS EQ, as well as an ASIO 2.0 driver for ultra-low latency. Furthermore, the unit is compatible with DTS and Dolby AC3 surround playback.

The GO46 will be available in July 2006. For information, visit www.yamaha.com.
