New York, NY, and Los Angeles, CA, October 15, 2007 – WWW.INDIEMV.COM, a new, “Next Generation” Social Networking website, has been launched to connect independent music fans, musical artists and record labels. The new website, which will also serve as a video marketplace for musicians, has been designed as a social networking vehicle to establish communities of like-minded music lovers (ages 16-34) who follow the latest underground music scene, and their favorite indie music artists. The announcement was made today by Ricardo Khayatte, founder and CEO of IndieMV Media Group, Inc. and associated companies (parent of www.indiemv.com )

Concurrent with its launch, www.indiemv.com is in partnership with UNICEF, in a contest open to North American bands, giving one band the opportunity to perform at the upcoming (11/28/07) live “Unite Against AIDS” Benefit Concert which will be held in Montreal, Canada. Confirmed feature performers for that event already include headliner Avril Lavigne, Grammy Award winner Sarah McLachlan, Corneille, Marie-Mai, Angelique Kidjo, and DJ Dino Lenny, as well as the winner of the IndieMV “Unite” band contest. Net proceeds from the concert will benefit UNICEF‘s international ‘Unite For Children, Unite Against AIDS® campaign, which is the largest ever mounted to bring the world‘s attention to the global impact of HIV and AIDS on children and young people. Please visit www.IndieMV.com or www.uniteagainstaidsconcert.ca for more details surrounding the contests and concert.

Ricardo Khayatte stated, “It‘s a bit unusual for an early-stage company to play such a critical role in something like this. But UNICEF needed their message to reach the youth and student audience and that fits well with our identity and community and gives us a chance to do something truly important. Over the next couple of months, our campus development efforts will carry the UNICEF message and attract thousands to support the campaign and to build their scene on IndieMV.com. We describe ourselves as ‘Music + People‘ – this is simply music plus people on a mission.”

IndieMV Media Group, Inc. is a newly launched, fully integrated, digital entertainment company and a pioneer in the distribution, licensing, and marketing of digital video content and its related businesses. Fueled by its partnerships with world-class record companies, and soon-to-be-announced partnerships with wireless communication companies and major sponsorship corporations, the company has instantly positioned itself to become a leader in social networking and digital video distribution on the web.

At launch, www.indiemv.com has already established licensing arrangements with three prominent record labels. The new site also has licensing agreements in place with Red Eye Distribution (David Byrne, The Donnas,) and with Oh Boy Records (John Prine.)

Mr. Khayatte explains that www.indiemv.com is primarily a social networking site where users and musicians can connect through unique video-based tools. Of advantage to consumers are a variety of services, including video blogs, private video messages, video forums, streaming, private mailboxes, personalized playlists and profile pages, latest gossip and news, downloadable music videos and exclusive interviews which will be conducted by the company‘s own “Video Jockeys.”

www.indiemv.com will also offer users a new technology called “SLIDERS.” Explains Khayatte, “Sliders are an advanced tagging system that are unique to our site. They allow users to easily search content on a more personalized level. It is a filtering system that each user can customize to their personal interests and preferences.”

He adds, “Users will have the ability to organize these ‘Sliders‘ by type, like a Jazz set, Hip-Hop set, Rock set, an R&B set, etc. Additionally, www.indiemv.com‘s advanced tagging system offers users ‘Tags,‘ which can be used by visitors to the site to describe music videos, bands, types of music and even their friends. These tags will be highly dynamic, incorporating such colorful descriptions as ‘sexy,‘ ‘cool,‘ ‘hot,‘ ‘heavy,‘ ‘love,‘ ‘dark,‘ and ‘talented,‘ as well as the musical genre descriptions of ‘rock,‘ ‘blues,‘ ‘punk,‘ etc.”
