NASHVILLE, TN, May 26, 2010 – Paul Brown of Ocean Souls Studios in Nashville, TN, recently turned to Auralex Acoustics to treat his new recording studio. Brown’s years of experience as a keyboardist, producer, engineer, and arranger helped him hone his brand of “Memphis Soul� with such artists as Ann Peebles, Jimi Jamison (Survivor) and blues legend Bobby Rush.
Brown engineered and mixed Rush’s critically acclaimed album Undercover Lover, which Living Blues dubbed one of the best Blues albums of the year. And he performed on four major PBS specials and three live DVDs, including Rush’s award winning DVD Live at Ground Zero. Paul also performed on the Grammy winning soundtrack for Martin Scorsese’s film The Blues and has just finished recording a live album with Nashville Blues great Stacy Mitchhart which debut #6 on Billboards Blues Charts.
Upcoming projects in the new studio include producing 2009
American Idol finalist Alexis Grace and a brand new release on Colorado folk legend Roz Brown titled “A Cowboy and his Sweetheart,� along with co-producing an album for Nashville-based guitarist/singer/songwriter Beau Burman with well-known guitarist/producer Lou Rodriguez.
After more than two decades of working with musicians, Brown knew where to turn to solve his acoustical needs. With the artistic vision of his wife April, they designed and installed Auralex Studiofoam Wedges, SheetBlok, Iso Series, SonoColumns, T’Fusors, and AudioTiles out of which April created some amazing artwork and the products have made a huge difference to Paul’s recording space.
