Las Vegas, NV (June 18, 2014)—PreSonus has acquired loudspeaker manufacturer WorxAudio Technologies, Inc., While PreSonus already manufactures loudspeakers for small to midsized venues, the WorxAudio purchase brings in-house products intended for considerably larger facilities.
Founded in 1979 by CEO and director of Engineering Hugh Sarvis (who will continue with the company), Greensboro, NC-based WorxAudio designs and manufactures line array, point-source, sub-bass, stage monitor, and related loudspeaker systems and accessories, largely for the mid to large church market and corporate AV channels.
It is PreSonus’ hope that WorxAudio will augment core elements of PreSonus’ professional loudspeaker development efforts, especially drivers, system and mechanical design, system tuning, and rigging system design. I
