2013 MIPA Award Winners Announced at Musikmesse

For the 14th time, more than 100 magazines from all over the world voted for the best musical instruments and audio equipment of 2012-2013 in more than 40 categories of the Musikmesse International Press Award (MIPA). The awards were presented to the winners at a special MIPA Awards ceremony and party held during the Musikmesse/Prolight + Sound on Thursday, April 11, 2013.

More than 300 international representatives of manufacturers and distributors of musical instruments and audio equipment got together for the 14th MIPA awards show, including guests from the U.S., Canada, Japan, Brazil, Russia, Poland, Great Britain, Italy, France, Greece, The Netherlands, Belgium, China, Indonesia, Denmark, Austria, Switzerland and Germany.

Once again, the Best Innovative Product award went to the Kemper Profiling Amplifier, which enables users to create and store custom Profiles of amplifier sounds and characteristics, and also offers onboard effects and stompboxes.
