Grammy Awards’ Engineering and Production Nominations Announced

The Recording Academy has announced its nominations for the 68th Annual Grammy Awards, including those categories honoring recording and mastering engineers, mixers, remixers and record producers.

Los Angeles, CA (November 7, 2025)—The Recording Academy has announced its nominations for the 68th Annual Grammy Awards, including those categories honoring recording and mastering engineers, mixers, remixers and record producers.

Mix engineer Serban Ghenea received six nominations, matching last year’s total, including three in the Record of the Year category, for his work with Sabrina Carpenter, Lady Gaga, and ROSÉ and Bruno Mars, and two in the Album of the Year category, for Carpenter’s Man’s Best Friend and Gaga’s MAYHEM. Ghenea is also recognized in the Best Dance Pop Recording category for Gaga’s “Abracadabra.”

Andrew Watt picked up five nominations as a producer in the Record of the Year, Album of the Year and Best Dance Pop Recording categories, and as a writer in the Song of the Year category, for his work with Lady Gaga. Watt was also nominated as a writer for Elton John’s “Never Too Late” in the Best Song Written for Visual Media category.

2025 Grammy Engineering and Production Winners Announced

Producer, engineer and songwriter Jack Antonoff received four nominations as a producer and engineer/mixer, as did engineers/mixers Laura Sisk and Oli Jacobs, for their contributions to Carpenter’s album and to Kendrick Lamar’s GNX album. The trio are also nominated in the prestigious Album of the Year category for both projects and in the Record of the Year category for Carpenter’s “Manchild” and Lamar’s “luther.”

Also receiving four nods is mastering engineer Ruairi O’Flaherty, two each in the Record of the Year and Album of the Year categories, for his contributions to the Carpenter and Lamar albums. Engineer/mixer Bryce Bardone was also recognized with four nominations, two each for his work with Carpenter and Gaga, also in the Record of the Year and Album of the Year categories.

Overall, Lamar picked up the most nominations, nine, with Lady Gaga, Cirkut and Jack Antonoff each receiving seven nominations. Bad Bunny, Leon Thomas, Sabrina Carpenter and Serban Ghenea received six nominations each.

The 2026 GRAMMYS will take place Sunday, February 1, 2026, live at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, broadcasting live on the CBS Television Network and streaming live and on demand on Paramount+.
