JBL is now offering optional DPIP (JBL DrivePack Input Processor) analog input modules for its six original VP Series models. Engineered with dbx, these input modules now provide a “plug-and-play” approach for system users who do not require the added cost and complexity of networked control and monitoring, or audio over Ethernet. These input modules provide onboard digital signal processing with bandpass limiting, pre-equalization filters and automatic self-test functions.

Each JBL DrivePack used in the VP Series is equipped with a modular input bay to accept one of several different input module options. These now include the DPIP for analog input, the DPAN that offers analog input with complete digital network control or the DPCN that provides digital audio input with integral “single-wire” network control. The DPAN and DPCN input modules are HiQnet-compatible using Harman Professional’s System Architect software.
