ProMedia Training Announces Audio Career Programs

ProMedia Training in Dallas announces two Audio Career Programs: February 1 through March 26 in New York City, with instructor Terron Darby; and February 15 through April 9 in Dallas with instructor James Creer.

ProMedia Training’s Audio Career program provides a Pro Tools–centric curriculum designed to develop creativity and the digital music production skills needed in today’s audio marketplace; a complete, self-contained mobile Pro Tools Version 8 studio worth $6,500; and certification from both Digidesign and ProMedia Training upon successful completion. ProMedia Training’s modern program is designed for today’s audio industry, can be completed in less than three months and costs 50 percent less than competing programs.

ProMedia Training’s audio curriculum covers Applied Engineering Skills; Music Theory and Production; Advance Mixing, Editing and Mastering; Producing Audio for TV, Film and Multimedia; and the Business of Audio.

Terron Darby has been an active Pro Tools educator and engineer for more than a decade. He is a Digidesign Certified Expert Instructor with significant experience working in MIDI and post-production. He has recorded, remixed or mastered top international artists such as Brazilian singer Rose Max, European artists Raccoon and DJNA, and U.S. dance music artists Patrick Green, Robbie Rivera, Cosmo and Edgar V. As an engineer, Darby is adept at Pro Tools artistry in music and post-production environments.

James Creer offers more than two decades of experience in music production and education. Starting as a MIDI expert in the 1980s, Creer grew into a multitalented musician, engineer, producer and educator. His real-world experiences range from professional recording and touring musician to engineer/producer to Full Sail course director and educator. Creer has been a Digidesign enthusiast since the days of Sound Tools and continues to be a leader in the world of Pro Tools HD. His credits include The Genitorturers, Sam Rivers, Steven Segal and Astro & Gylde.
