Industry Backs Mix Nashville Event

NewBay Media, parent company of Mix, Pro Sound News and Pro Audio Review, has announced the initial round of industry sponsors supporting Mix Nashville 2015, an all-day professional audio conference and exhibition to be held Saturday, August 29, at Clair Global Southeast and The Blackbird Academy Live in Nashville.

Nashville, TN (August 6, 2015)—NewBay Media, parent company of Mix, Pro Sound News and Pro Audio Review, has announced the initial round of industry sponsors supporting Mix Nashville 2015, an all-day professional audio conference and exhibition to be held Saturday, August 29, at Clair Global Southeast and The Blackbird Academy Live in Nashville.

To complement the series of expert panels at Clair Global, presented by Mix, Pro Sound News, The Nashville AES Section and The Nashville Chapter of the Recording Academy’s Producers and Engineers Wing, Mix Nashville has added a Master Class Series to take place next door in The Blackbird Academy Live. Yamaha, Harman (JBL, AKG and dbx), Shure and Obedia will present intensive half-hour sessions, each run twice during the day.

In addition, Avid will be showing the new S6L live console—in its Nashville debut—in a private room at The Blackbird Academy Live. And Yamaha, in addition to its Master Class, will be parking the company’s 48-foot mobile showroom and offering looks at its entire line of boards, including the new Rivage PM10.

“Nashville is always ready to extend our pro audio manufacturing friends a warm southern welcome,” says Frank Wells, editor of Pro Sound News and Past President of the AES and a member of AES Nashville’s steering committee. “The balance between studio and stage is what Nashville is all about, and everyone benefits with companies like Yamaha, Avid, Shure, Prism, Harman and all these others presenting their latest technologies directly to our audio community.”

In addition to the Master Classes, a full day of programming and product exhibition will be taking place next door at Clair Global Southeast, featuring producers and engineers from the Nashville community and leading manufacturers including Prism, Maselec, Sadie, Focusrite, iZotope, Independent Audio, JBL, AKG, dbx, Gibson Brands, Argosy and Phasx.
