DK-Technologies (locations worldwide; Phoenix, AZ) supplied the Ascent Media Group (London, England) with PT5202 Compact VariTime sync generators, which has recently been installed. The total amount of generators is now up to 10.
These new units are being used to provide the master reference for all synchronized signals, a critical task for the facility, which provides a wide range of customers with post-production and media management services and digital media streaming.
Iain Reid, head of engineering at Ascent Media Group’s London-based facility, says: “We bought our first pair sync generators about seven years ago and since then we’ve added more units as and when we have needed them. They play a vital role in the transmission chain and, therefore, have to be both stable and reliable. Our on-going experience with these units has been very good, so when it came to investing in more units we had no hesitation in choosing this product from DK.”
Andy Page, director of DK-technologies UK, adds: “We are always delighted when a customer shows such faith in our equipment that they come back for additional units. We are especially delighted when the customer is as high-profile as the Ascent Media Group, because we know that the company will always choose the best product for the task in hand.
“Today’s digital studios need cost effective and reliable synchronization for the main equipment to work consistently. This is why we offer a fully integrated solution that eliminates any costs associated with modular structures, supports many different signal types and gives users a range of operating features. All DK solutions have been carefully designed to meet the requirements for the modern studio and the tasks they are expected to perform.”
The PT5202 Compact VariTime Sync Generator includes all basic features for professional sync, timing and test signals in one half-sized box. It incorporates a user-friendly front panel control and moving text on the color bar pattern, making it very simple to operate.
