Inter-M Americas Debuts CD-3500

Accessed via the front panel, a drawer-style rotary carousel accommodates either five standard or five mini-disk CDs. Beyond standard-duty operations such as disk selection/skip, play, pause, and forward-backward skip/search, the front panel controls also provide access to functions such as the capability to specify, modify and play a program of up to 32 selections.

A total of three repeat modes can additionally be selected for one track, one disk, or all disks. Two “shuffle” modes also offered will randomly play unplayed tracks from a single disk at a time, or in a random disk/track fashion.

Other standard features found on the CD-3500 include disk intro, (which plays the first 10 seconds of the first track on each disk), a bicolor display that monitors changer activity, modes, and track information, and three time clock settings that can be used to show the elapsed time of the track playing, or the remaining playing time of a current track or disk.

Operable between 20 Hz and 20 kHz, the CD-3500 is outfitted with a three-beam laser tracking servo, eight times oversampling digital filter, and 20-bit D/A converter. A selectable auto-start play mode is also provided to support use with an external timer. The CD-3500 is now shipping with an MSRP of $510.00.
