Source-Elements LLC has released a Source-Live for VST ($395) plug-in that is fully compatible with Mac and Windows versions of Steinberg’s Nuendo and Cubase. Source Elements is also announcing a group buy at a discounted price for a limited time.
Source-Live allows the output of an audio mix to stream to multiple listeners at once in real-time for interactive approvals. The user can email a Live-link to listeners, who can immediately connect to the stream in real time from anywhere in the world via QuickTime. Using the most current AAC/MP4 algorithms, Source-Live provides listeners with 24-bit audio quality and is compatible with 96kHz sample rates.
The plug-in offers real-time listener management and password protection features, which give users control over listeners’ access to a session. Source-Live also has a Live-to-File feature for generating MP4 files and podcasting. In addition to session monitoring, Source-Live can also be used to stream live events to a streaming server for true Internet radio capabilities.
Owners of Source-Live will be able to customize a browser based QuickTime GUI for branding and advertising opportunities.
