AKG by HARMAN Joins Tiësto and Your Shot USA to Train a New Wave of DJs

NORTHRIDGE, California – As part of an expanded partnership with famed DJ, Tiësto, AKG by HARMAN today announced that it will support Your Shot USA to develop new DJ talent. Launched six years ago in Australia, Your Shot has helped nurture and transform the lives of thousands of aspiring DJs—from developing their skills with the aid of AKG by TIËSTO headphones, to competing for prizes. Only one DJ will ultimately win the chance to perform with Tiësto in Las Vegas, and to show off their abilities as a featured performer at Ultra Music Festival Miami 2016.

Launched six years ago in Australia, Your Shot has helped nurture and transform the lives of thousands of aspiring DJs—from developing their skills with the aid of AKG by TIËSTO headphones, to competing for prizes. Only one DJ will ultimately win the chance to perform with Tiësto in Las Vegas, and to show off their abilities as a featured performer at Ultra Music Festival Miami 2016.

Your Shot USA starts with comprehensive DJ training using AKG by TIËSTO headphones at the Your Shot Training Academy in Los Angeles. The contestants then perform at a Los Angeles Showcase event before a packed crowd and panel of judges including agents, managers, DJs and Tiësto himself. The top six finalists head to Las Vegas to participate in a week of mentoring with Tiësto and other notable DJs, resulting in one Your Shot contestant winning the title and opening for Tiësto at the Hakkasan nightclub in Las Vegas. Tiësto has been fundamental in helping to launch the careers of some of the world’s best known DJs including Hardwell, Martin Garrix and Oliver Heldens, to name a few.

 As one of the world’s most popular DJs and producers, Tiësto leveraged his extensive experience to co-design the AKG by TIËSTO headphone family from the ground up. Designed for performing, mixing and simply enjoying electronic music, all three models deliver stunning design, impressive sound quality, comfort and convenience.
