Sleek Style Meets Superior Sound in Two New AKG by HARMAN DJ Headphones Launching at Winter NAMM 2016

ANAHEIM, California – AKG by HARMAN today debuted updates to the popular AKG K67 DJ and AKG K167 DJ professional-grade DJ headphones at Winter NAMM 2016. Featuring a sleek new look, both headphones have been designed with the professional performer/producer in mind.

The on-ear AKG K67 DJ and over-ear AKG K167 DJ feature closed backs for ambient noise reduction, which is especially important in loud club environments. The large 40mm transducers with dynamic/moving coil design are critical for reproducing accurate bass frequencies. Both models feature lightweight yet durable parts, are foldable for easy stowage and feature a stylish black matte finish. While the AKG K67 DJ is ideal for mixing and playing live, the AKG K167 DJ is best suited for DJing, studio monitoring, mixing, mastering and live sound engineering.

“The newly redesigned AKG K67 DJ and AKG K167 DJ were conceived with professional DJs and electronic music producers in mind,” said Noel Larson, Retail Solutions, HARMAN Professional. “They combine AKG’s legendary audio performance with the features pro DJs need, empowering them to give their best performances.”

The AKG K67 DJ weighs just 200g, and features a wide frequency response of 16Hz – 24Hz and sensitivity of 112 dB SPL/v. The AKG K167 DJ weighs in at 250g, and provides a 10Hz to 27kHz frequency response and 112 dB SPL/V. Both models also feature a low-impedance design (32 ohms) for great sound with everything from studio gear to mobile devices.

“As a DJ and producer, my aim is to always give my fans a breathtaking audio experience that they’ll never forget,” said Grammy Award-winning DJ and producer Tiësto. “The AKG DJ headphones are perfect for those who want the best quality sound, but don’t wish to compromise on durability and style, whether you’re looking to mix in the studio, perform live or listen when you’re on the move.”
