UJAM Releases Beatmaker 3: A Unified Platform for Beat Creation — Launches with Hyperpop Instrument Title CHROMED

Berlin, Germany, June 5, 2025 — UJAM announces the release of Beatmaker 3, an updated version of its virtual instrument series that brings all Beatmaker titles into a single, unified plugin with a redesigned interface and expanded browsing features. As part of the launch, UJAM also introduces Beatmaker CHROMED, a virtual instrument developed for fast-paced, hyperpop-style production.

UJAM Beatmaker Version 3 – Quick Walkthrough

Used by tens of thousands of producers around the world, UJAM’s Beatmaker series has become a go-to toolkit for creating genre-focused beats quickly and musically. Version 3 builds on that foundation by reimagining the series as a united platform — one that supports every stage of the creative process, from inspiration to export. With a refreshed interface, flexible routing, and tools designed to reduce friction and boost inspiration, Beatmaker 3 offers a more fluid and focused beatmaking experience.

“This launch is just the beginning,” says UJAM product manager Adam d’Agostino. “Version 3 introduces a unified platform and the first steps toward cross-title browsing and content discovery. There’s much more to come, and starting now, Beatmaker will continue to grow more powerful with every title a user owns.”

Key features of Beatmaker 3:

  • Tag-based preset browser with genre, mood, BPM, and title filters
  • In-plugin content store with audio previews and one-click purchasing
  • Mixer View with per-track control of saturation, filters, ambience, pan, solo, and mute
  • Sample View with shaping controls for attack, decay, dynamics, and pitch
  • Loop Browser with rhythmic visualization, phrase filters, and MIDI drag-and-drop
  • Flexible keyboard mapping and random phrase assignment
  • Post-fader individual output routing
  • Scalable interface with improved visual feedback and navigation

CHROMED: Dialed for Chaos
Alongside the launch of Beatmaker 3, UJAM introduces CHROMED as the latest addition to the Beatmaker series. Curated for hyperpop, brostep, experimental sound design, and other genre-blurring styles, CHROMED offers mix-ready drum kits and patterns that embrace loud, glitchy, and unpredictable aesthetics. Created in collaboration with genre-pushing artist BABii and sound designer Derek von Krogh, CHROMED encourages a performative approach to beatmaking, helping users break out of conventional workflows and inject bold energy into their productions.

Key Features

  • 10 unique 16-instrument drum kits
  • 20 Styles (total of 460 MIDI loops)
  • 12 Mix Modes to kickstart projects
  • Special control: Hyperdrive
  • 75 Global Presets
  • 17 ambience/reverb modes

About UJAM
UJAM was co-founded by Hans Zimmer and Pharrell Williams, both musicians whose careers have been significantly supported by technology. The vision behind UJAM is to make technology even more accessible and encourage even more people to make music.

This vision is being realized by a team of virtual instrument pioneers who had previously developed legendary virtual instruments from Steinberg and Digidesign — from Steinberg Hypersonic to Virtual Guitarist, from Digidesign Xpand to Transfuser — and who finally want to realize their vision of shortening the path from the idea to the perfect track. More fun, better results, less complexity.
