New York, NY (October 7, 2026)—Preparations are underway to build a new immersive venue, as Powersoft announced this week it has entered into an agreement with Holoplot to help provide audio and power technology for an audio system destined for use in an undisclosed entertainment site.
The deal, valued at €6m, will see Powersoft ship technology to Holoplot at regular intervals over the course of 2027—an arrangement will allow Holoplot to complete its own equipment production in synch with the venue’s schedule and expected opening date.

The best-known implementation of Holoplot’s X1 Matrix Array audio system to date is inside Las Vegas’ Sphere. The development of the groundbreaking venue, which opened in 2023, led to Sphere Entertainment’s outright acquisition of Holoplot in May 2024.
Where Is The Venue?
Earlier this year, two more Sphere venues were announced—the 20,000-capacity Sphere Abu Dhabi in the UAE and 6,000-capacity Sphere National Harbor in Maryland—and are tentatively expected to open in 2029 and 2030, respectively.

However, a new immersive system could be retrofitted to an existing site as well. Sphere Immersive Sound systems were previously installed in Radio City Music Hall last year and inside The Beacon Theatre in 2022. Both venues are based in New York City and owned by the MSG Family of Companies, which is tied to Sphere Entertainment.

Accordingly, new Sphere Immersive Sound systems might be earmarked for other MSG Entertainment-owned venues like Chicago’s eponymous Chicago Theatre, or the company namesake itself, New York’s Madison Square Garden.
Additionally, Sphere executives have spoken in the past about the potential of touring and festival-oriented Sphere Immersive Sound systems, so there are a number of directions where technology resulting from the Powersoft/Holoplot pact may be headed.
The Technology Involved
Holoplot and Powersoft have collaborated previously, having worked on the original Sphere; for the new project, Powersoft will provide high-efficiency 16-channel amplifiers and its patented IPAL (Integrated Powered Adaptive Loudspeaker) technology, used in the X1 system’s subwoofers.
In a statement, Luca Giorgi, sales director of Powersoft, commented, “We are pleased to once again partner with Holoplot and contribute our expertise to the development of another spectacular venue. For this new high-tech entertainment destination, we will provide a technologically advanced audio system designed to offer audiences the best possible interactive and fully immersive experience, while at the same time delivering considerable energy savings and reducing environmental impact.”
