Korg USA Supports Next Generation of Musicians

— Company sponsors two leading youth music programs —

Korg USA recently partnered with two high-profile youth music programs – School of Rock (SoR) and Camp Jam – for kids and young adults. These new partnerships are the first of Korg USA’s year-long campaign to support music-making and educational programs for young people.

Camp Jam is a rock and roll music program for children and adults. Korg USA was a gear sponsor for the program’s songwriting contest. Acclaimed artists/teachers are also instructing students at Camp Jam 2011 using VOX and Blackstar amplifiers, Korg digital pianos and VOX guitars supplied by Korg USA. The contest winners, campers and instructors are all enjoying the new gear. “Our Camp Jam programs are designed to give kids insight and a head start on their music interests and potential careers, said

Steve Freeman, National Director for Camp Jam. “Being able to offer these future musicians world-class products from partners like Korg has been a great asset to our instructors and students alike.

Additionally, Korg USA outfitted School of Rock’s 70 locations with an assortment of gear. Korg and VOX are also sponsors of The AllStars Program hosted by SoR. Products outfitted to the prestigious AllStars include Korg synthesizers, Korg music workstations, and VOX combo amplifiers. This program consists of an elite group of high level achievers enrolled in School of Rock nationwide. AllStar students experience playing in famous rock venues, touring and jamming with famous rock stars. The Korg and VOX gear will be placed in SoR locations after AllStars touring season has ended.
