The Village Recorder To Host Career Conference On April 30

On Sunday, April 30 The Village Recorder, GC Pro and Monster Cable will present an interactive conference dedicated to learning to survive in the music industry. “From Home to Studio” is designed as a one-day conference featuring key techniques for creating quality home studio recordings as well as teaching the core essentials for a successful career in audio engineering.

The concept for the conference was developed by David Hampton, who has authored a new book entitled So, You’re an Audio Engineer. . . Well, Here’s the Other Stuff You Need to Know. Conference attendees will benefit from panel discussions and special studio sessions with some of the country’s most talented engineers and producers, including Jose “Chilitos” Valenzuela and Khaliq Glover. Guest panelists include Bobby and Izzy Avila, Neal Pogue, Ralph P. Sutton and Scottie Pakulski.

Jeff Greenberg, CEO of The Village Recorder, will offer conference attendees a behind-the-scenes look at one of the most historical, Grammy-producing recording studios in the world.

“From Home to Studio” will take place Sunday, April 30 from 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at The Village Recorder in West Los Angeles: 1616 Butler Ave., Los Angeles, CA 90025. All event attendees will receive gift bags and a chance drawing opportunity to win free studio time, gear and more.
